Christa and Jeff go way back, way way back. Like, all the way back to elementary school. Two quiet and shy kids who ended up going all through school together - usually sitting right side by side with alphabetical seating arrangements. Both Christa and Jeff have some different last names, both that start with K's, so as luck would have it, or should I say fate? As fate would have it, 9 times out of 10, they were always side by side in various classes.
College took them in different directions, Facebook reunited them. They had a little contact here and there over the years, though nothing major. A few years ago, on what was supposed to be a girls night out, Christa found herself alone in a bar - girlfriendless. Her friends didn't show. What was likely an irritating moment for her, proved to be yet again - a swift move by fate. Scrolling FB she saw Jeff's face, that familiar and friendly smile. She decided to send him a message explaining she had been stood up by her friends, she was here at this particular bar, would he like to come join her - if so, she said, "I'll buy you a beer!"
Obviously Jeff took her up on that offer. And it little to do with a free beer, and more to do with the beautiful lady purchasing it. The rest quickly became history. The two shy kiddos who had known each other for so long finally really got to know one another, and realized what they had both been looking for and dreaming of had been right beside them - literally - for many years.
Their relationship grew and on Christmas Eve of last year, Christa had a sneaking suspicion.... A suspicion of a possible ring coming her way... She was right. There in front of family and friends on the wonderful eve of Christmas, Jeff asked her to marry him.
These two are planning a gorgeous wedding for May of 2017, and I'm so dang thrilled our paths crossed. These two are SO great together. Their engagement session gave me a glimpse of something I love to witness - two people who, when they are together, - the rest of the world disappears. C+J love each other very much, and their relationship is so special to watch. Photographing these guys is a joy!
