An intimate KC Wedding | Codie & Brandon
Inside a warm, cozy room they pledged their love to one another once again - promises of forever, vows of unending love.
This gorgeous couple were married back in September on a sandy beach in St. Lucia - but decided once back home in Kansas City, to have another little ceremony for their close family+friends. I've known Codie for many years, and I loveeee seeing her this happy. Brandon seems in every way the most perfect guy for her, and it overjoys me. When Codie asked about my documenting this intimate ceremony, I was all over it!
This November day ended up being a pretty chilly, and a very rainy one - but nonetheless, these two positive people didn't let that hinder them. As you'll see, they even braved the raindrops for a few outdoor photos! And it was well worth it!!
Inside a warm, cozy room they pledged their love to one another once again - promises of forever, vows of unending love. They celebrated with cake, and great company.
Codie & Brandon - I can't even explain how happy I am for you both - or how much I LOVE you two as a couple. I know this thing you guys have is going to be a lifelong joyful journey :)

A Baby's First Christmas Photo Session | Baby Sam!
It's without a doubt that this will be one of the most special Christmases in history for The Moon's - all because of a chubby cheeked precious baby boy, named Sam.
Well, look who it is.... :) Baby Sam is back once again you guys! And it's his first Christmas soon!! Beth and Evan invited me over once again to document Baby Sam with their family Christmas tree, and them as a family for such a special time in their lives.
Baby Sam is growing oh so fast, and he looked like such a big boy by that beautifully decorated tree. It's without a doubt that this will be one of the most special Christmases in history for The Moon's - all because of a chubby cheeked precious baby boy, named Sam.

A KC Christmas Session | Baby Rooney
He didn't care for his furry hat - but he did like the string of jingle bells. Rooney's Christmas mini session!
Baby Rooney is back, friends! This time he's pretty decked out in his many Christmas-looks, and complete with ornaments, jingle bells, and twinkle lights! It's too much cuteness to handle, truthfully. Hollie, Rooney, helpful Aunt Mara and myself got together at Loose Park for this fun little Christmas mini session in mid-November and as always, Rooney did fantastic!
He didn't care for his furry hat - but he did like the string of jingle bells. He got majorly upset once - as you'll see, and wanted nothing more than to eat those twinkle lights. We gave him multiple things to tinker with, Mara danced like a loon, and I clicked away - quite happily.
Always enjoy time spent with this family and this precious baby!

Image on right is blurry ON PURPOSE folks :) - I think it gave a mega ethereal and dreamlike quality to it :)
Kansas City Wedding Photography | Rachel & Bryce
Sometimes in life, a passing is all it takes. A fleeting moment, a smile, a hello, that's it.
And for Rachel+Bryce, that couldn't be more true.
Â
Rachel's best friend, Brittany went to college with Bryce. She knew, that girl just knew - Rachel and Bryce would be a great fit. On a trip to visit her best friend, Rachel was introduced to Bryce by Brittany - but it was just in passing Rachel says.
Sometimes in life, a passing is all it takes. A fleeting moment, a smile, a hello, that's it.
And for Rachel+Bryce, that couldn't be more true.
Life then did what life just does, it continued. Life moved forward, in different directions for them both. But, that fleeting moment from when they first met never drifted far from fate's plans. Six+ years later, good ol' Facebook reconnected these two, and they began talking - and talking lots. A few months from that day, Rachel - a travel-loving, adventure-seeking kinda girl, packed up her life and moved to Alaska, which was where Bryce was stationed with the military at the time.
For two years they lived and loved, happily in Alaska - then it was time to move again. These two strike me, completely - as the types of people who go wherever life leads them and it makes no difference - because home to them, is where each other are.
Shortly after that move from Alaska, on a road trip to visit Rachel's parents, they stopped off at a Sonic - for Nerd slushies of course. How perfect is that detail? - Bryce told Rachel he needed to get something from the bed of truck, when he suddenly tapped on her passenger-side window. And there he stood, through the glass, with a ring in hand.
Rachel and Bryce were married November 14, 2015. They said their vows together in front of those dear to them in St. James Catholic Church in Liberty, Missouri. Afterward, a party-bus took them and their wedding party down to the Liberty Memorial during a vividly golden sunset. Photos ensued. That same bus - and that awesome group of people, then traveled over to Hotel Phillips, where the bus departed and then us all walked through The Power & Light District - among lots of honking horns and shouts of congratulations over to the gorgeous Gallery Event Space for one epic wedding reception. Trust me when I say - Rachel and Bryce know how to throw a great party.
That reception was full of so much happy, so much celebration. From their own, to a something special for Rachel's grandfather and Bryce's grandmother. - Each recently celebrated their 80th and 90th birthday's - so R&B saw it only fit to sing happy birthday and deliver special cakes to them during their reception. Talk about a very special moment. And talk about two of the cutest old people I've ever seen in my life.
Rachel's sweet mother Robin gave a moving speech of thankfulness and appreciation, for all of those who have, or do serve in our nations military - asking those individuals to please stand. To say it was a moving experience is quite the understatement.
From there - it was cake, dancing, more dancing - and so, so much joy.
Rachel & Bryce - I really can't even begin to thank you both enough. You two had an incredible day that goes down vividly in my memory bank. Thank you guys so much for allowing me to be a part of it, and document such special moments for you both!

Kansas City Engagement Photography | Allie & Spencer
High school sweethearts, that's what Allie & Spencer are.
High school sweethearts, that's what Allie & Spencer are. They're also precious, and sooo in love. A&S met in high school, they ran cross country together, and...they fell in love. It was a trip to Colorado together years later that brought about that next step - a beautiful ring that Allie thought maybe, just maybe might be coming her way.
These two spend their days now as registered nurses, Spencer in an ER, and Allie at the VA hospital. Between busy schedules, and loving each other to pieces - they're planning a wedding for next May, and I know without a doubt, it's going to be an amazing day. Allie and Spencer are simply just two incredibly warm souls - with gigantic hearts and strong faith. They're wonderful to be in the presence of.
Us three went all over Parkville together for their engagement session, and we were oh-so-blessed with beautiful and perfect weather - and the type of light this photographer daydreams about. Allie's golden blonde hair in the soft evening light was just the icing on the cake :) Not to mention their combined in-love smiles! It was a fantastic evening!
Allie & Spencer - I'm SO excited to be your photographer and to document such a special time in your lives! I really enjoyed your engagement session and I know your wedding day is going to be so wonderful too, I can't wait!
