This awesome little family of four is one of my favorite families in Missouri!! These guys are so fun to be around, and their girls are so cute and sweet!!
Us five (six, if you count Foosball!) got together in November for some family photos in Liberty Missouri. Lots of giggles and baby tickles ensued! Foosball attempted to chase squirrels and field mice, the girls played around, and Nick+Kaylee tried to wrangle it all!
I'm always so excited when these guys want new family photos, and I already can't wait for our next session together!!
Nick & Kaylee - Thank you guys, again!! I love your new family photos, and I hope you guys do too!
Harper was all about mama's glasses!! haha
Six-Month Photos Session | Baby Sam!
Look who's back...!!! :) I have so, so enjoyed documenting the first year of Baby Sam's life, and we're only halfway there with this six-months session!
Look who's back...!!! :) I have so, so enjoyed documenting the first year of Baby Sam's life, and we're only halfway there with this six-months session! But even still, six months! Can you believe it? I'm still so over-the-top obsessed with Sam's chub, especially those cheeks! As I know a lot of my followers are!! So good news guys, he's still as chubby and cute as ever!!
Beth & Evan welcomed me back over to their lovely home once again to document this next milestone for Baby Sam. Like always, we started with cute little outfits, but ended with nothing but a diaper ;)
Beth & Evan - Thank you guys once again! You know I'm loving this first year series! Can't wait for number nine!!
I mean for crying out loud you guys, he's wearing a CARDIGAN.
I've said it before and I'll say it again! A new life goal is to be as happy over something as simple as my own toes! ;)
Kansas City Newlyweds Photography | Cassie & Brint
C&B were married on Sunday, October 25th, 2015 - and on Monday the 26th, we three got together to celebrate those brand new nuptials with photos! Talk about an anniversary! ONE DAY anniversary! Ha!
You just might recognize these guys!! I just blogged their wedding, and the reason behind posting this lovely session next is because the day after Cassie & Brint said "I Do", they got together with me again! For a newlywed session! How cool is that!?
C&B were married on Sunday, October 25th, 2015 - and on Monday the 26th, we three got together at Waterworks Park in Kansas City to celebrate those brand new nuptials with photos! Talk about an anniversary! ONE DAY anniversary! Ha!
Cassie & Brint are two of the most fun people I've ever met, they're both so relaxed and laid-back, love to talk like old friends, and are just generally really nice to be around. We wandered all over that insanely hilly park and Brint constantly watched out for Cassie's well-being. Watch that branch, oh careful here's a big rock. He adores her. And she too, adores him. It's no doubt that these guys have a long and happy life together ahead of them.
Cassie & Brint - I should make a joke and say how it was so good to see you guys after so long! Ha. But in all seriousness, it was awesome getting together with you guys again after you just said your I Do's and create more lovely images with you! You'll have so many images to choose from now! :)
A Weston Red Barn Farm Wedding | Cassie & Brint
These guys had an ideal little outdoor ceremony at Weston Red Barn Farm, with a small group of their closest friends and family. They stood there together, prayed together, made promises together - all as the sun went down and the sky turned purple.
Cassie & Brint were married on a sunny Sunday in October, at Weston Red Barn Farm. The wedding overall - from decor, to location fell straight out of Pinterest, friends...(and straight out of my dreams!) Seriously, if there were an award for wedding of the year that was based on this Pinterest-driven world we live in - these guys would take the gold.
The new barn at Weston Red Barn Farm is drool-worthy to anyone who loves that country, rustic, shabby-chic dream look. And when it comes to the endless ways you can decorate and style your wedding day - C&B nailed it.
Cassie and Brint opted to see each other before the ceremony - and Brint's reaction was absolutely precious. The three of us took to the field for some portraits, Cassie choosing to go barefoot and Brint constantly watching out for her bare feet and any possible thorns or poison-oak or anything that might hurt his love.
These guys had an ideal little outdoor ceremony, with a small group of their closest friends and family. They stood there together, prayed together, made promises together - all as the sun went down and the sky turned purple. Three individual ropes were braided by C&B to represent a cord of three strands - Cassie, Brint, and God - as they pledged their lives to one another.
Once vows were complete everyone went inside to a beautiful, cozy and romantic reception. Hot apple cider, cold cider too, with syrups and cinnamon to mix overflowed. Everyone ate together, laughed together and celebrated this new journey for this lovely couple.
I snuck outside during dinner just to see the magic of that beautiful barn all lit up against a vast dark sky and almost fainted from the perfection of it all. It was clear that my job wouldn't feel complete unless I got a photo of C&B outside in that picturesque scene. Definitely love when my couples trust me and let me pull them away from the celebration for a 5-minute photo opportunity. And friends, it was so worth it.
C&B's big day ended with loads of dancing, lots of laughing - and endless smiles.
Cassie & Brint - Thank you guys oh so very much for choosing me as your photographer. I enjoyed your wedding day immensely. You two have something so special together, and photographing that was an honor. Thank you guys for sneaking outside for the night-shot too, I'm so happy we did that!!
Cassie's serious-face is on point!

Kansas Wedding Photography | Katie & Derek
I've never seen a bride smile and laugh so happily so much during her wedding ceremony, but I should've known - if anyone did, it would've been Katie.
Katie and Derek both were two of the most calm people I've ever worked with - even just moments before their ceremony, two cool cucumbers they were. Documenting their story was truly like watching two very best of friends get married to one another. That's just what these guys are.
When I arrived on their big day of October 24th - Derek was just arriving himself. Almost completely dressed and ready to marry the love of his life. We did a few photos of him before he tucked away so that Katie could get ready in the same spot. Katie's precious little Mom helped secure her dress, and then Katie's Dad stepped in to also assist with bow tying! This was a special moment I don't see often, and I loved it!
K&D chose to make their ceremony just them - no wedding party. Just one cute little ring bearer and one cute little flower girl. It was really special, and quite beautiful. I've never seen a bride smile and laugh so happily so much during her wedding ceremony, but I should've known - if anyone did, it would've been Katie. She's the most radiant beam of sunshine, it's no surprise Derek is crazy about her. These guys had a lovely ceremony among so many supportive family and friends in a branch of their home church. And once those vows were said, they headed to Deer Creek Golf Club for a gorgeous reception full of so much joy.
After her first dance with her new hubby, once cake and toasts had passed - Katie did something so very special, I had a difficult time controlling my own emotions. In honor of her wonderful parents' 50th wedding anniversary from just a little over a month prior to that day, Katie had a toast of her own. She wanted to make sure her parents knew how much she loved them and cherished them. And wanted them to have a moment of their own, - on their daughters wedding day. She gave a speech about how they had spent so many years teaching her what it means to truly love someone - by setting such a strong example of how much they loved each other. Katie mentioned how she always caught them slow dancing in the kitchen, with no music on. Katie's Dad chimed in here with "She was young, that's just what we told her we were doing." And everyone's lump in their throats went down briefly!
As everyone dried their eyes, Katie asked her lovely parents to come up to the dance floor and have a moment just the two of them. I can assure you it was one of the precious things I've ever seen in this career!!
From there the reception did what all receptions do - It turned into a joyous celebration of love and laughter. Katie and Derek danced the evening away, and never stopped smiling.
Katie & Derek - You two. You know I adore you. Thank you SO much for letting me be a part of this day, and of your lives during this time! I wish you guys a lifetime of happiness!
Katie's Mom AND Dad helped secure the bow to her dress :)
With handkerchiefs dating her parents marriage, and one for her own - these added a little something extra to this very special day.
When a flock of geese come in randomly during portrait time - you take a photo with them, because what else?
