A birthday trip for Kathryn - with Andy by her side, up to Canada to visit her sister, brother in law, and two nieces. A day trip for lunch and wine at Flat Rock Winery. 4 adults, 2 kids, resulting in 2 cars. These are the details.

The story is that Kathryn rode with her sister, and spent essentially the entire 45 min car ride telling her sis how much she wished Andy would propose to her. Kathryn ya see, was, is - head over heels for this guy named Andy. She reached a point of telling her sister that maybe she should talk to him even! All the while - Kathryn's sister who struggles at keeping secrets, did the single best job of secret-keeping in her whole life. And not just for a split second, but for 45 mins.

The group toured the winery, sampled wine, had lunch, all the things. The tour guide - who lo’ and behold was also a part of this big secretive plan - suggested that everyone go out on the balcony and enjoy a final glass of wine, so off they went. Where Kathryn's sister suggested that these two lovebirds go stand by the railing and take a photo together - with the epic view behind them. And finally, in that moment, everything that everyone but Kathryn knew came to a tipping point. Kathryn - the girl who spent so long waiting for this moment and the girl who had no idea "this moment" was about to happen...reached to put her arm around Andy for a photo, only to realize he was down on one knee.

Kathryn says the first words out of her mouth were "This isn't funny" - and nope, it wasn't, but Andy didn't bat an eye, didn't pause his words, he just kept on saying all the things Kathryn had waited so long to hear, and this sweet girl realized it was truly, actually, for real happening - she was being asked by the love of her life to be his love forever!


These two are insanely cute together, and knowing how much Kathryn wanted this moment for so long makes it evennnn better to be around them, to witness their love, to document their story! I can’t wait to watch and witness these two tie the knot in 2019!!
