Behind the Scenes of the 2022 Wedding + Portrait Busy Season!!
The post you all, and me too honestly, so look forward to!! These take a lot of time to put together, but one of the best parts of my job is the stuff not everyone sees… so why not SHOW IT lol. The time that goes into this aside, this post is truly so much fun to share! So buckle up friends, cause it’s time…
The recap, the reveal, the behind the scenes of…… 2-0-2-2!
Kicked off 2022 busy season with the wedding for Klarissa and Joe — and got to work with my favorite gal, Taylor Paige of The Perfect Touch KC!! During our photo location stops, we stumbled on a heart together from the KC Parade of Hearts, so we had to stop for a selfie!
Taylor got some great BTS of me working with another favorite gal — Bailey of Enlow Productions!

Ryan…..of Kelsie and Ryan, one of my previous couples for engagement photos and wedding day!! Ryan here got ahold of my camera at his own wedding and did just this…so when Kelsie’s bff Klarissa got married, and these two were there….Ryan was determined to get my camera again, and that he did. The ones with me are his iPhone, which he was simultaneously snapping with… lol SKILLS BOI.
When KC Wolf shows up to the wedding reception… your “friends”…planner and videographers, discover you have a very realistic fear of people in costumes…so, naturally, they push you to it constantly and force you to take photos with it. NOT COOL GUYS.
Ultimately, Taylor Paige being Taylor Paige explained to this guy my phobia, and asked if he would take his head off to show me that he’s just a human underneath. He did. And it helped….a tiny bit. lol.
Here we all are!! Nothing hits quite like having my couples refer me to their besties…and then it’s a reunion and a wedding day, all rolled into one!!
Speaking of Kelsie…poor girl took a bad tumble on the dance floor that very night. Your BFF only gets married once, am I right!?
NOTHING BEATS getting work with my video bestie, Kory!! And while he gets awesome behind-the-scenes and keeps me laughing all day long, I do have to put up with the jokes about shooting over my head since yes…I’m the short one here. BONUS though, we both get the good angles due to our height differences, and he can reach things for me lol

When the videographers says “You wanna go on the upper balcony and play with the drone?” — you run, not walk (especially through the totally haunted room we had to walk through to get up here, my god.)
No bugs allowed on her mama’s wedding dress!
Finding feathers still stands out to me, still means so much to me… and finding them on wedding days is such a nod from the universe to me :)
When your wedding day is hot as balls, keys get locked in the truck, and one of you is getting over Covid… you just take a break with some treats — these two were SO awesome and laid-back, and this wedding day was amazing! More weddings at Big Cedar Lodge in 2023 — and more couples like Hannah and Josh!
