the big ANNOUNCEMENT I’ve been hinting at for a while now, friends! — I’ll soon be offering mentoring sessions!
there’s a wee bit of info below for now
with more info coming soon!
Canon 50mm 1.2L (my fave!)
2 Yongnuo Wireless Speedlights 600EX-RT (for Canon)
Tons o’ memory cards (I prefer Sandisk Extreme Pro in 32gb!)
Tons o’ AA Batteries for flash (I love Eneloop Pro!)
Definitely Lightroom! Full disclosure is that for the first few years of my business, I was editing everything in Photoshop, and holy wow the difference in time, consistency and manipulation abilities that you gain from editing RAW files in Lightroom! The only time my images visit Photoshop these days is when I need to work on removing some large distracting element type of thing!
The only conference I’ve attended up to this point was the one and only, Creative at Heart! I attended Round 5 in Denver, and it was without a doubt, one of the best decisions I have ever made both for my business, definitely for my business, but it absolutely changed my personal life in a great way as well!! Highly recommend it!
Without a doubt it’s my 50mm 1.2L!! That lens is on my camera the most. I started out back in the day with the 50mm 1.8 and it served me well, but that 1.2 is absolute butter. I love that lens best because I feel like it is the most versatile, produces amazing image quality in both tack sharpness and creamy bokeh, is quick as lighting, and offers what is in my opinion, the most natural focal length to the human eye!
I do! I’ve done this both ways, with one and without, and I keep coming back to the fact that sometimes, my hands need a break! I’m a big fan of the company Fotostrap — for their products, their heart, and their mission. If you want to read more about my camera strap, here’s a handy-dandy blogpost! — Fotostrap Review.
