If you've found your way here, thank you.
You've already gotten to know the photographer. This page is simply a little more about the person.
Sharing has always come naturally to me, it’s just part of who I am at my core. Over time I’ve realized that this doesn’t just show up in my life – it shows up in my work, too.
And I've always believed that if I'm asking you to let me into your world, I should be willing to let you into mine.
One day there will be a book. For now, there’s just a little glimpse here.
I grew up in a very small town in North Carolina – born later in life and unexpectedly into a dynamic that shaped me in ways I’m still unpacking. From a young age, I learned how to read a room – to notice energy shifts, moods, the subtle change in someone’s voice or expression.
At the time, it was a way of navigating the world around me. Now, it’s one of the greatest strengths I carry.
It allows me to read a room on a wedding day without effort.
To sense what’s needed without being told.
To create a space where people feel comfortable enough to be fully themselves – safely and supported.
And when it comes to photography – that’s where real moments live.
Because of how I grew up, I don’t take family dynamics for granted.
The relationships I witness on a wedding day — the closeness, the support, the presence — they don’t feel ordinary to me at all. They feel extraordinary. And I photograph them that way.
But I also understand that some relationships are layered. Some are complicated. Some require a different kind of care and awareness.
And I hold space for that, too.
I know now that I am a highly sensitive person. For many years, I viewed that sensitivity as a weakness, something I needed to overcome. Now, I completely disagree.
I see this sensitivity as one of my biggest strengths and I bring it into both my relationships and my work.
Another key piece of my story is that I didn’t find my person in a straight line. And because of that, I don’t take love — or choosing each other — lightly. Not even a little.
There’s something really meaningful about witnessing two people who have found their way to each other in this crazy world, in whatever way that journey looked.
There are other chapters too of course – some beautiful, some complicated, some that I’m still learning how to put into words. There will be more shared in the future - that
book is well on its way.
Lastly, I want to say that I feel all of these chapters have shaped the way I see people, the way I feel things, and the way I show up – in life, and in this work that I care so damn much about.
Every one of those chapters has shaped the way I approach documenting yours.
Now, let's get you back to where you left off.
