OVERLAND PARK ARBORETUM

Key features + Notes: A popular spot for that garden look if you’re loving that — lots of walking involved, but pretty spots in several locations. Some of the wooded spots can be a bit dark in photos, but overall this is a pretty area! There can of course be a lot of blooming flowers, trees etc — and in the fall this is great colorful spot as well. Fall sessions here would be more ideal due to lighting and earlier sunset, with us having to be out of the park by 5pm.
** A $25 fee is required in addition to the general admission fee. Park closes at 5pm daily, and we must be out by 5pm. Note that in the summer months, 5pm is still very bright outside, so your photos before that will be very bright and potentially have harsh lighting. No Saturday availability here for photography.
Parking: One dedicated public parking lot in the park.
Restrooms: Yes! Indoor restrooms are available near the entrance of the park.
