GRINTER’S SUNFLOWER FARM
Key features + Notes: A truly spectacular place in the Kansas area, this sunflower field attracts people from far and wide! This is a true farm field with sunflowers for miles, and also a lot of dirt…and also a lot of bugs. Keep those things in mind — you will get dirty and you might get a bug bite or two! Also a huge note on this location is that during the weekend, it is completely SWARMED with visitors. Because of this, I don’t shoot here on weekends. A few years ago, police were called out because it got out of hand! We will shoot here through the week — Monday-Thursday only :) There is no fee to shoot here, this is private land owned by local farmers who plant these sunflowers as a gift to the community and for visitors to come and enjoy. They do have a donation box and ask if you take a sunflower to leave a little donation. Please note too this is all sunflowers all day, there isn’t much more beyond that — sometimes they will have a little bit of farm equipment nearby to the flowers which can make for a different look, but mostly, this location is all about the sunflowers.
Parking: The farmer usually plows a few field areas next to the sunflowers to allow visitors to park there — any type of vehicle can handle the terrain.
Restrooms: None
